Convolvulus Sabatius – aka: Ground Blue Morning Glory
Convolvulus Sabatius – Ground blue Morning Glory bush is a trailing, evergreen plant that grows to 6″ tall and spreads 2-3′. It has small clusters of lavender blue 1″ flowers that bloom spring through summer in the Arizona desert. The blue Morning Glory likes full sun, good drainage and not too much water. This plant is a perfect for ground cover for color. It can be planted trailing over walls and in pots or on the ground covering an area or mound. It does not freeze typically in the Phoenix area and does well in full sun in the heat of the summer. What more can you ask for? It is native to North Africa.
